Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support
Course Length: 20 Hours
Description: This course is sponsored by the American College of Surgeons and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. The three key principles practiced in this course are rapid assessment, effective stabilization, and safe transportation of the trauma patient. This course requires 75% on the written exam and a pass on the final skill station.
Target Audience: Civilian and military medical personnel: 91W transition students, physicians, nurses, physician assistants, paramedics, EMT, Corpsmen.
